Mindfulness in the Galleries: Winter Solstice

Andrew Winter (United States, born Estonia), 1892–1958, "Below Zero--Two Lights, Cape Elizabeth" (detail), 1934, oil on canvas, bequest of Elizabeth B. Noyce, 1996.38.55

Join us in the galleries to give thanks for the darkness—the yin to the yang of light—on the cusp of the winter solstice. Embrace the longest night of the year by acknowledging the bright light within. During this meditation session, you'll explore art with darker color palettes, before practicing simple seated, guided meditation.

Meet in the Selma Wolf Black Great Hall. Seats will be provided.
