Embodied Looking with the Alexander Technique
Unwind your body, quiet habitual tension, and tune into a deeper sense of ease during this 30-minute guided session rooted in the principles of the Alexander Technique. Among the artwork, explore gentle awareness practices to support poise, presence, and slower, more attentive looking. Take a restorative pause in your day to rediscover comfort, curiosity, and connection with the art around you. Facilitated by Matt Cahill, Co-Founder/Director of Hogfish.
Part of The Mindful Museum: Slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the stress-relieving benefits of art all January at the PMA.
About Hogfish
Hogfish heals the division of our times by cultivating a new genre of Regenerative Arts - stories and artistic experiences that help us remember our connection to each other and the earth. To do so, we have created a 501(c)(3) non-profit production company and residency that works both from the top-down and bottom-up. From the top-down, the production company adapts classics and creates new works that center traditionally under-represented voices. From the bottom-up, the residency supports artists-in-residence to create Regenerative Arts projects from their own perspectives.
