Rockland artist Warren Seelig’s work is inspired by materiality as a large but elusive idea that he says may be understood as the re-awakening of a primal force that lies deep in the mind and body of each of us. In this participatory experience, Seelig will enlist the public to help create a sculpture made of ordinary materials.

Seelig is a participating artist in You Can't Get There From Here: The 2015 Portland Museum of Art Biennial.

Artist Interventions is supported by the Beatrice Gilmore Endowment at the PMA.

Public programming related to the Biennial is supported by the Peggy L. Osher Endowment at the PMA.
