The 2020 #PMAbash

bashbranding.jpg

This February, share your true colors at the #PMAbash as we celebrate the opening of Carrie Moyer and Sheila Pepe: Tabernacles for Trying Times.

It’s an exhibition all about making connections, fostering dialogue, and welcoming everyone, and we want you there.

About the Bash

The #PMAbash is one of the biggest parties of the year. Hosted annually by the PMA’s Contemporaries members, the gala brings people together from across the region to celebrate and support the museum, arts, and culture.

This year’s bash theme is True Colors, and we invite you to creatively share a side of yourself you may not always show every day, as we embrace the diversity that sustains our arts community.

About the exhibition

pepe_moyer.jpg

Carrie Moyer and Sheila Pepe: Tabernacles for Trying Times is the first major museum exhibition centered exclusively on these two renowned contemporary artists, and explores abstraction, feminism, and activism in profound and immersive ways. The exhibition imagines a familiar form of religious furniture—the tabernacle—as a symbolic location for cultural values such as justice, equality, and knowledge. Moyer and Pepe embrace and expand these values, using abstract art and representations of the tabernacle to create spaces for community and dialogue, while exploring each artists individual yet intertwined abstract languages.

Note: Ability to purchase tickets is limited to current Contemporaries members. Membership must be active at the time of the event.

*Includes one individual ticket ($50) and a low monthly payment of $25 for the remainder of your membership.

Thank you to Ambassador & Host Committee members for your generous support of the PMA.
