Meadow Dibble, Atlantic Black Box

Meadow Dibble, Ph.D. is a writer, researcher, and antiracist historical recovery advocate working to surface New England's suppressed narratives. She founded Atlantic Black Box Project, a grassroots public history project that empowers communities throughout the Northeast to take up the critical work of researching and reckoning with the region’s complicity in the slave trade and the global economy of enslavement. Through collaborative research and place-based education programs, The Atlantic Black Box Project seeks to engage the public in the collective rewriting of our regional history. The mission of Dibble’s work is at the center of Passages in American Art’s goal: creating a more expansive, equitable, and accessible story of American art.
