Fionna Moran, Human Nature
February 21, 2024
“My piece is exploring why we (people) deem insects as gross and ugly despite their natural abundance and necessity. Specifically, thinking insects aren’t deserving of something as luxurious and beautiful as a crown. I used acrylic paint and beeswax crayons on board; the crayons felt like a natural medium to use, symbolizing how we can live harmoniously with the subject of my piece.”
