She is the owner and lead designer at Triflorum Designs, an ecologically-minded design company that specializes in wild-inspired containers, gardens, and seasonal florals. Her work is based on the premise that art, beauty, and plants are all sources of joy and connection in the worlds we inhabit. She approaches intentional design as a way to blur the lines between human spaces and the larger ecosystems we are a part of, helping us rethink harmful standards that keep humans separate from “nature.”

Julia sees flowers as a medium to honor the wild beauty, ephemerality, and resilience of naturally occurring plant communities, sourcing from Maine farms and gardens as much as possible and practicing sustainable floristry. She takes the most inspiration from the striking elegance of Maine’s native plants, as they weave together in layers and play off each other’s colors and textures. ”
