Portland, Maine – The Portland Museum of Art (PMA) is pleased to announce the election of three new members to its Board of Trustees, following a vote held on June 11, 2025. These individuals bring a deep commitment to Maine’s cultural, educational, and civic life and will support the PMA’s mission of Art for All

New Trustees:

Lisa Marin, of Jonesport and Portland, is an artist and educator who taught art in Maine public schools for 23 years. She currently serves as President of The John Marin Foundation, where she promotes and facilitates access to the work of her grandfather, the renowned 20th-century artist John Marin, whose depictions of the Maine landscape have long been a cornerstone of American modernism.

Marian Morgan, of South Portland, brings a strong background in archaeology, human resources, and nonprofit leadership. She has served on the boards of the Gulf of Maine Research Institute, Victoria Mansion, Maine Audubon, Outward Bound, and Maine Maritime Academy. Her passion for Maine’s cultural and environmental heritage is reflected in her longstanding support of local institutions.

Paul Peck, of North Yarmouth, is the founder of LWS Development LLC, a Maine-based real estate firm focused on multifamily, assisted living, and resort communities. He is also Vice President and co-founder of Western Maine Mountain Housing, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding workforce housing. An attorney at Drummond & Drummond, Peck has held numerous civic leadership roles, including President of the Portland Chamber of Commerce and service on several city planning and zoning committees.

In addition to these new appointments, the PMA Board voted to recognize the extraordinary contributions of several longtime Trustees:

Katherine Berger and Bree LaCasse were elected Trustees Emeriti, and Judy Glickman Lauder was named an Honorary Trustee in recognition of her exceptional service and support of the museum’s mission and growth. The Judy Glickman Lauder Collection at the PMA features nearly 700 photographs by iconic artists such as Diane Arbus, Gordon Parks, and Richard Avedon, offering a landmark gift that celebrates the power of photography and its deep ties to Maine.
