Important Changes to Loading Dock Access
February 12, 2020
PMA Announcement. February 10, 2020
Department of Protection Services (DPS) Announcement
Beginning Monday, February 17, the exterior loading dock entrance remains locked at all times. All staff will need to use their access card to enter the building through the loading dock.
If you don’t have your access card, you may use the newly installed video intercom. The intercom will alert the security officer in the loading dock and they will remotely release the door lock.
Additional instructions and a demonstration video are found at the end of this announcement and in the Common Resources section of the PMA Staff website under the “Additional Resources” section.
It is important that you not allow any strangers behind you to enter the loading dock; you may advise them to use the intercom to contact the loading dock security officer. All visitors, contractors, vendors, and volunteers including Trustees and Docents, must use the intercom and state the purpose of their visit before they will be let into the building. Instructions for using the intercom and accessing the building will be posted for visitors to see, but you can also help by notifying your visitors in advance about this new policy.
Thank you for your cooperation and your patience while we all adjust to this new policy. Please contact me or one of the Security Supervisors (Shawn Emerick, Michael McKenzie, Nonsee Oumkasem) with any questions or concerns.
Also, please note that February 17 is an administrative staff holiday (President’s Day), but the museum is open to the public for school vacation week.
Thank you,
Faiz
