COVID-19 & The PMA
March 13, 2020
In light of ongoing developments around the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Portland Museum of Art is closing March 13 to the public, and will remain closed through April 13.
The decision to close was reached after much deliberation and in consideration of steps the museum can take to prioritize the health and safety of visitors, members, employees, and the community at large.
An internal response team has been established at the museum to evaluate, plan for, and implement any measures necessary to slow and mitigate the spread of the virus. Throughout the closure period, this team will continue to monitor the situation, evaluate potential next steps, and communicate any developments should they be necessary.
The PMA looks forward to welcoming visitors again soon.
