“‘The Target Beret’ is off of a photo of when a close friend of mine found a bright red beret in Target. In the process of painting this I focused on making sure that the laughter she held in as she posed shone through. Even though we had gone to Target in search of one thing (Christmas lights), we still snuck away to have some fun.”
