Guest teacher: Nuna Gleason of Maine Afro Yoga Project

Nuna Gleason is a Kenyan-born yoga teacher, trauma-informed mindfulness and movement facilitator, and founder of the Maine Afro Yoga Project. She creates inclusive spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, build community, and experience healing through movement, mindfulness, and joy.

Her work expands access to wellness for African immigrants and other underserved communities while inviting people from all backgrounds to cultivate belonging, resilience, and connection. Whether leading a yoga class, facilitating a healing circle, or guiding a mindfulness experience, Nuna's approach is warm, accessible, and rooted in the belief that wellness belongs to everyone.
