Free School Tours

Educators can bring students to the museum for free via our Free School Tour program.

Our educational experiences for Pre‑K to 12th grade students use authentic works of art to inspire and encourage critical thinking and to make real-world connections.

Cell Phone Tours

Winslow Homer Studio tours

Seasonal Winslow Homer Studio tours offer a unique perspective on Maine’s most famous painter by providing insight into his home and studio, along the rugged shores of Prouts Neck.

Self-Guided Experience Private Tour Booking

Unfortunately, we will not be offering guided group tours during Art In Bloom, March 24–29, 2026

PMA Group Visit Guidelines
  • Group tours rates are available to groups of 10 or more.
  • All group visits must be booked at least one month in advance.
  • Full payment must be received at least 7 days in advance of the group’s visit, unless otherwise arranged with our Director of Visitor and Member Services. A signed contract may be required.
  • Guided tours last approximately one hour.
  • All guided tours meet in first-floor Selma Wolf Black Great Hall unless otherwise noted.
  • Groups and tours can only be scheduled online; phone and email requests cannot be honored.
  • The PMA reserves the right not to allow large groups into the Museum without prior reservations.
  • Groups without a reservation will not receive discounted or expedited admission.
