Isabella Tarkinson, Elementary

July 5, 2023

I combined three significant memories of my childhood, specifically from my time in elementary school, into one combined sculpture of three individual pieces of work. Using consistent themes throughout the entirety of the piece, I tried to display the physical tolls of coming out at an early age, the experiences of bullying, and traumatic injuries.

Materials: Concrete, yarn, plastic wrap, Scotch Tape, Duct Tape, safety pins, mesh wire, wooden dowel, metal scraps, doll arms, and loose wire
