Pride Portland at the PMA

Pride Portland at the PMA

For the first time ever, the PMA is an official participant in Portland Pride. After years of offering complementary programming, we’re thrilled to take part in an official capacity this year, on the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, and we hope you will join us. Pride Portland brings people together annually to celebrate and honor the accomplishments of the LGBTQ+ movement, raise awareness for the community’s ongoing struggles, and foster an environment of inclusivity, accessibility, and solidarity. The PMA will participate in the parade and the festival in Deering Oaks Park, and host an afternoon of art-making in front of the building on Congress Square (along the parade route). Additionally, the museum will be free to the public the entire day. Help us commemorate 50 years of LGBTQ+ history with this free, day-long event.
