Join Andrew Eschelbacher, Susan Donnell and Harry W. Konkel Associate Curator of European Art, at this roundtable discussion detailing the origins of Beyond the Pedestal: Isamu Noguchi and the Borders of Sculpture, opening at the PMA October 4th. This special look behind the scenes explores the process and methods of organizing a large scale sculpture exhibition, including the museum's quest to acquire Noguchi's outstanding work Play Sculpture for the PMA collection. Play Sculpture will feature in the fall exhibition before taking its place in the David E. Shaw and Family Sculpture Park in the Joan B. Burns Garden in Spring 2019.

Discussion will take place in the Peggy L. Osher Art Study and Collection Committee Conference Room.
