What is the relationship between one’s work as an artist and as a teacher? Join artist Duncan Hewitt in conversation with Diana Greenwold, Assistant Curator of American Art, for a discussion of his career as an artist and educator, and a reflection on the role teaching has had with his artistic production.

Programming in conjunction with the Circa exhibition, Duncan Hewitt: Turning Strange, which brings together carved wood sculptures from the last 20 years of Maine sculptor Duncan Hewitt’s career. Circa is a series of exhibitions featuring the work of living artists from Maine and beyond.

A reception with the artist, featuring hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar, follows the event.
