Homage to Haystack: Textiles in the Trees

Homage to Haystack: Textiles in the Trees

With artist Pamela Moulton

In the 1960s, many fiber instructors at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts such as Olga de Amaral and Ted Hallman, led community projects that engaged with the landscape to create unique works and memorable experiences for both participants and audience alike

To mark the closing weekend of In the Vanguard: Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, 1950-1969, artist Pamela Moulton “yarn bombs” the trees in the PMA Sculpture Park. Participants are invited to contribute to the PMA yarn bomb, as Pamela Moulton leads this textile-based art activity.
