Flyover Country

Flyover Country

At SPACE Gallery, 538 Congress Street, Portland

In his powerful and thought-provoking new work, composer and artist Nat Evans uses his family history from 1710 to 1940 as a lens through which he explores wider subjects of ecological destruction, genocide of indigenous people, capitalism, and food systems in the United States. His performance weaves together archival family photos, research from site visits, drawings, dreams, music, and spoken word. Co-presented with SPACE Gallery.
