Emily was raised in the Northeast Kingdom in Vermont, and brought her sense of that beautiful and remote place to her work as an artist. She eventually settled in New York City and founded Emily Thompson Flowers. For Emily Thompson’s ornate, austere, and stripped-back floral designs, she and her team seek out rare, ill-used, and unlikely flowers, seed pods, branches, and undergrowth to achieve design that creates desire for the obscure.
