Shoshannah White's work reveals the both the details and the enormity of the natural world through images that are haunting and beautiful at the same time. Following a three-month residency at the Swallowtail Lighthouse on Grand Manan Island in the Bay of Fundy in 2012, White has turned her attention to the sea. Connecting to The Coast & the Sea: Marine and Maritime Art in America exhibit, she will explore the drama of the ocean while also encouraging ways to consider our timeless connection to our own coast and sea.

Artist Interventions take place at 5 p.m. on select Free Fridays. Artists reveal elements of their creative processes and involve PMA visitors in collaborative, art-making experiments in these events.
