April School Vacation Week Family Activities

April School Vacation Week Family Activities

This April school vacation week, the PMA is here to help you embrace spring with special family programming that includes artmaking activities for kids and adults.

From Wednesday, April 17 through Saturday, April 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., we host special drop-in family activities with Love Lab Studio, who guide an interactive  sculptural building project using recycled materials designed to help you and your family make unique connections to the art in the museum.

Our art responds to the powerful exhibit Relational Undercurrents: Contemporary Art of the Caribbean Archipelago. Children and community  build sculpturally through layering, hole punching, and sewing. Love Lab Studio partners with the PMA Learning & Interpretation team to lead you and your family in creating individual, layered island shapes using repurposed materials and contributing to a larger collective sculpture project.

And remember—everyone ages 21 and under always gets free admission at the PMA, thanks to the generosity of Susie Konkel.
