Visual art is a proven tool and focal point to help evoke feelings, process emotions, and spur discussion—all in a supportive environment. This immersive, regenerative art experience will include opportunities to view art, engage in sensorial and reflective activities, and an art-making experience designed to foster personal expression.

Materials and pacing are family-friendly, and light refreshments will be provided. Stay after the guided portion and continue exploring the galleries on your own.

July’s theme: the many moods of summer! We’ll examine how artists use the elements of art to express feelings about some warm weather activities, from walks in the woods and swimming in the sea, to watching a ballgame or spending a quiet rainy day indoors. Create monoprints that capture the fleeting nature of the season and experiment with an easy technique that mimics watercolor .

Registration encouraged, not required. Free and open to all.

This program is presented in collaboration with The Center for Grieving Children.
