Take a deep dive into how museums assign meaning and value to objects.

Discover works by Indigenous, Black, queer, and women artists, alongside decorative arts and jewelry historically overlooked in traditional collections. Hear about new acquisitions, including Shane Perley-Dutcher’s Kikehtahsu (Healing) and Kamrooz Aram’s Untitled (Arabesque Composition), and gain insight into the narratives museums preserve, and those they leave behind. This talk invites you to see the PMA’s collection in a whole new light! With Museum Educator Joanne Sterling.
