SUMMARY:Mindful Writing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Reflect\, journal\, and turn inspiration into intentions for 2027. Sessions to include intention setting for the year ahead and gaining experience with journal writing. Prompts will be provided for setting intentions. Open to all levels and no writing experience is needed. Registration is required. \n\n\n\nIntentions help us practice mindfulness\, navigate life and set forth goals of what we hope to achieve. Not to be confused with resolutions\, intentions are purposely broader in scale. Led by Kenda Williams\, Visitor & Member Services Manager at the Portland Museum of Art. Kenda studied journalism at the University of Arkansas where she received her BA in 2006. A published writer for several New York Times regional newspapers\, the Savannah Morning News\, and author of “Savannah: A Photographic Portrait”\, Kenda calls on her journalism background as inspiration for her personal journal writing. Kenda has called Maine home for 14 years. Kenda is passionate about practicing mindfulness\, whether on a hike in the woods of New England or meditating in the solace of her home in the Sebago Lake Region of Maine\, where she resides with her partner Mike and their two cats\, Legolas and Luna. \n\n\n\nMeet in the Great Hall. \n\n\n\n$5 PMA Members $10 Public | Registration Required \n\n\n\nPaul Jenkins\, Phenomena In the Prism Orb\, 1994\, watercolor on Arches paper\, 30 x 22 5/8 in.\, Gift of the artist\, 2005.16.
