#ThirdThursPMA is officially here

Last night we welcomed visitors and members of the museum to stay up late with us for the first of our new series #ThirdThursPMA. On each third Thursday of the month, the PMA will present special programming, host live music, and partner with some of the region's best breweries. We'll keep the galleries open until the sun goes down, and invite visitors and members into the museum for a unique experience.

It was a gorgeous night for a party. Allagash Brewery set up shop in the Joan B. Burns garden, and food was provided by Aurora Provisions. It was a great way to kick off the summer season. Members got a chance to mingle and catch up after the long cold winter, and general admission visitors got a chance to experience the incredible events the PMA likes to host. Everyone enjoyed the steel drum band, Island Beats, espeically the little ones.

#ThirdThursPMA is a monthly series and occurs each third Thursday of the month. The next one is July 17th, sponsored by Creative Portland, and will feature the Maine Marimba Ensemble, a special panel discussion on the role of the PMA. It's open to the public (included in the admission cost), and it's always free for members.

We'll see you next month!
