Leadership Circles

The Leadership Circles are the upper echelons of PMA membership, reserved for those who go above and beyond to display their love of art and their commitment to the community.

Leadership Circles are at the core of the PMA, and therefore reward members with the highest level of benefits. To be a member of a Leadership Circle is to truly be a part of the museum—everything the PMA does is a direct result of the support and commitment of the Leadership Circles' membership. It's no surprise then, that members get unprecedented access, opportunities, and benefits to further their own appreciation and education in the arts. From private exhibition tours, exclusive social gatherings, and first looks at new acquisitions to expert-guided trips and private dinners with the Director, the PMA reveres its Leadership Circles—and the benefits are extraordinary.

Leadership Circles

Named for the year the PMA was founded as the Portland Society of Art, the 1882 Circle is a group of donors who contribute $10,000 or more to the museum’s annual operating budget. Members in this group stand alone as leaders in the PMA family, and enjoy opportunities for special programs and travel, in addition to unique access to collections and staff.
