PMA360 presents: "Letters on Paper: The Art of Literature"

PMA360 is a new series as part of select Free Fridays. It introduces innovative ways to engage with the museum, through special guests, exclusive gallery experiences, craft cocktails, and more! It's a new way to PMA.

5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Lower Ground Floor

Specialty cocktail created by Might & Main's Sean Wilkinson and Portland Hunt + Alpine Club's Trey Hughes, in response to Scott Kelley's Self-Portrait as Ishmael's Art (a detail of which is pictured above).

According to Sean: "Trey and I have been collaborating on cocktails, recipes, and a cocktail-focused blog for years. Trey is now the manager of The Portland Hunt + Alpine Club, and his cocktail game continues to evolve and elevate. We’re excited to work together on a response to Scott Kelley’s beautiful painting. Without giving too much away, we’re working on a recipe that includes some subtle flavors that evoke the ocean, whaling, and seafaring travel to exotic places. It makes more sense than it sounds like right now, but I will say that the inclusion of ambergris in a particular classic punch has been a considerable inspiration."
