Incoming Tide: A Night for Teens at the PMA

Incoming Tide: A Night for Teens at the PMA

The Homer High School Fellows, seven teens from greater Portland, spent the summer of 2016 learning about the PMA, and they've created this evening for their peers. It's Incoming Tide: A Night for Teens at the PMA.

Bring your friends and hang out at the PMA. Make art, create sketchbooks, take pictures with your phone for a scavenger hunt, go on interactive museum tours, and enjoy free admission and a free drink (coffee, tea, soda). There will also be a collaborative art project throughout the night.

While you're here, check out our full slate of modern and contemporary exhibitions, including O'Keeffe, Stettheimer, Torr, Zorach: Women Modernists in New York and the incredible wood sculpture of Portland-based artist Duncan Hewitt in Duncan Hewitt: Turning Strange.

According to the Fellows, they "hope to bridge the age gap, diversify who considers themselves museum-people, and instill an appreciation for art among younger generations."
