Join PMA Director Mark Bessire and guest lecturer Ellen Roberts for a toast to the opening of this summer's exhibition, which explores the intersecting careers of Georgia O'Keeffe, Florine Stettheimer, Helen Torr, and Marguerite Zorach—four pioneering modernists who worked in New York between 1910 and 1935.

Roberts, the Harold and Anne Berkley Smith Curator of American Art at the Norton Musueum of Art—which organized the exhibition with the support of the PMA—will discuss these important figures, whose careers coincided with a period of shifting conceptions of femininity and the rise of the New Woman in American society.

Space is limited. Reservations are required. R.S.V.P. to Ashleigh Hill, Donor Events Associate, at (207) 494-5346 or ahill@portlandmuseum.org
