Under the general supervision of the Director of Learning and Interpretation, this position is responsible for administrative and program support to the Portland Museum of Art’s (PMA’s) Learning and Interpretation department. This position supports the PMA’s goal to provide engaging learning experiences and to create dynamic in-gallery programs for learners of all ages.

Under the general supervision of the Associate Educator for Youth Learning, this temporary, part-time, paid position offers high school students the opportunity to learn about the museum profession through the development of youth and teen programs. This seven-week fellowship program is designed to foster creative thinking, to build community, and to use the PMA collection for inspiration and idea building. Under the direction of the Visitor Experience Manager, the Visitor Experience Team Lead provides leadership and oversight to the Portland Museum of Art’s (PMA’s) visitor experience team to ensure visitors and members are well served and problems are resolved appropriately.
