Under the general supervision of the Business Manager, performs varied administrative tasks to support the Portland Museum of Art’s (PMA’s) overall business objectives and ensure the museum’s fiscal health.

Under the general supervision of the Visitor Experience Manager, responsible for providing exceptional visitor experience with a thorough understanding of Portland Museum of Art (PMA) information, while selling admission and memberships, promoting programs and events, and providing information to patrons at the Harry W. Konkel and Family Welcome Center and through phone and email communications. Supports PMA goals of building audiences, developing and strengthening constituent relationships, and maximizing revenue.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Protection Services and Security Supervisors and Officers, responsible for ensuring the security and safety of personnel and visitors, the museum’s collection, and the physical plant.  Performs a variety of security and security-related duties, provides information and assistance to museum visitors, and directs visitors and staff during emergency situations.

Volunteer Positions

Fall Internship (September-December 2016)

Intern will assist the Director of Learning and Interpretation and L&I staff to help visitors make connections to the PMA collection and special exhibits through programming and in-gallery experiences.
