Staff Positions

Under the direction of the Chief Curator, and in collaboration with other members of the Exhibitions and Collections division, responsible for curatorial activity related to pre-1950 American art, including overseeing this part of the PMA’s collection; organizing special exhibition projects; pursuing acquisitions; and producing scholarly and written materials for a wide range of audiences.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Audience Engagement and Communications, provides administrative support for Communications department operations and support for the Your Museum, Reimagined project. Effectively contributes to the operation of the Communications department in meeting the PMA’s goals for communications, audience development, and constituent relationships.

Under the general supervision of the Membership Manager, provides effective support of membership and development operations through accurate and timely data entry and database management assistance to ensure the successful operation of the department in meeting the museum’s constituent relationship and fundraising goals.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Annual Giving, the Donor Events Coordinator will provide support to all staff in the Development department by managing all museum donor and member events, trips, and facility rentals in collaboration with the Development team. Contributes to the operation of the Department in meeting the fundraising and constituent relationship priorities of the PMA’s mission and strategic plan.

Under the general supervision of the Building Manager, performs and oversees various facilities maintenance operations, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, water treatment, pneumatic, fire protection and security systems, carpentry, painting, and grounds maintenance.

Intern will assist the Director and staff of the Learning and Interpretation department to help visitors make connections to the PMA collection and special exhibitions through programming and in-gallery experiences.

The Learning and Interpretation department strives to encourage curiosity and wonder for all visitors to the PMA. By offering audiences of all ages opportunities to connect with authentic works of art through programs that offer open-ended experiences, intellectual rigor, and exploration of the creative process, we intend to impact the lives of PMA audiences.
