Anna Hepler: Makeshift
July 24, 2010 - October 24, 2010

In July, Maine artist Anna Hepler constructed a monumental installation inside the Museum’s Great Hall. Made from a nest-like mesh of salvaged and sewn sheet plastic, The Great Haul takes advantage of the Museum’s expansive entry space. This is Hepler’s first solo exhibition at the Portland Museum of Art, and this exhibition is the first in a series called Circa that explores compelling aspects of contemporary art in the state of Maine.

Video about the exhibition and Anna Hepler.

Circa
is a series of exhibitions featuring the work of living artists from Maine and beyond.
